Show homes A What do you want from a home? Somewhere that's cosy and relaxing, or somewhere interesting and unusual? Throughout history, people have used their imaginations to create unique places to live. In Ukraine, you can find a few of these buildings. B In Odesa, one of the strangest sights is the wall house'. When you stand in front of this 19th century building, you can't see a wall on one side. This is because it was built as a triangle. Why? The reason, some say, is that the builder didn't have enough bricks to build the fourth side. C In the late 20th century, blocks of flats became a common way to provide homes for lots of people. Most of these buildings look very similar, but on 82 Sakharova Street in Lviv, there's a nine-storey block with a difference. It's got a huge crossword puzzle on one of its walls. The crossword is 18m wide by 30m tall, and it has thirty-nine clues across and forty clues down. You can find the clues in many places around Lviv, for example, historical landmarks, pubs and tourist information centres. You can then check the answers on the crossword after dark.
